INDIVIDUAL PROJECT
On the occasion of the launch of Marco Mengoni's album “Atlantico”, the singer and Politecnico di Milano announced a call and selected thirty students for a promotional workshop.
Each student was asked to create promotional material of their choice.
For this individual work, I have decided to create a new graphic layout for the CD and the vinyl, based on the colors of water. I’ve made an illustration that gathers what the singer told us about the album and I have declined it in two designs, one for the CD and one for the vinyl. The illustration's aim was to describe the album, based on the emotions in which the singer has immersed himself every time he was travelling across the Atlantic.
The songs’ titles have been arranged on the back of the CD and the vinyl; their position is a metaphor for the place where they have been written: the songs on the right have been composed on the east part of the ocean and those on the left on the west.
